Well things are going along pretty well. I've all but gotten rid of the headaches completely. I have even gained back about 5 pounds. The best news I've had this month was when I was approved for my SSDI on the first try! It was amazing to say the least. I didn't receive any notice whatsoever. I had checked my bank account and saw a huge deposit and freaked out! After talking to the bank, I realized it was my SSDI check. They paid me back to Feb. 1999 too. This has taken such a load off my mind, and our checking account. I've been trying to rob Peter to pay Paul for so long. We were even able to buy some new furniture for our house after paying all our bills. I mean EVERY SINGLE BILL!! I got the notice from SSDI about a week after the deposit came in. I will be reviewed in 3 years but will receive the payments automatically from now on. I now feel like I am contributing to our family again and it is a wonderful feeling.
My liver enzymes are still on the rise, but they are moving slowly compared to other times when I was not on treatment. I've been having that right side pain, but not frequently. My sleep pattern is a mess, but I'm used to that happening!
I
finally got the biopsy done on the 13th of this month. It went even smoother
than the first one. I wasn't doped up as much this time, which was nice
actually. My doctor is so great. He does a fantastic job. I didn't even
have the shoulder pain the next day. I couldn't lift the baby for a few
days, but other than that, I felt fine the day after. I acutally wasn't
even nervous about having the biopsy done, but am a bit anxious about the
results. This will show if the 22 months on treatment did any good for
my liver at all. I'll get the results on the 19th and will post them as
well.
