AN OUTLINE SPIRITUAL PROGRAMME

FOR 6 DAILY MEETINGS

1. CREATION AND MAN

The wor1d - its beauty and mystery - wAs made by God. We are physical and spiritual beings.Man is made in God's image, for fellowship with God. Everyone is known by God; he knows us by name, and sees each of us as important and of equal value. God loves us. We have spoilt creation.

2 SIN AND SPIRITUAL NEED

All have sinned and fall short of God’s standards. Sin - wrong doing and failure to do what God requires. Effects of sin - to separate us from God. To put up a barrier. Sin covers up and hides our spiritual need. We cannot overcome sin on our own.

3. JESUS AND THE CROSS

Jesus is the Word of God - truly human and divine.. He was sinless. Why did Jesus have to die? He pays the price, sacrifices himself for us. He calls us to fo1low him and to respond to what he has done.

4. FORGIVENESS AND RESURRECTION

Receiving forgiveness. Conversion. Admitting we have sinned. Believing what Jesus has done for us, Committing ourselves to following him. Repentance - sorry and turning away. Resurrection - new 1ife. freely given, FAITH and a new relationship. Seeking holiness.

5. HOLY SPIRIT AND DISCIPLESHIP

Promise of the Holy Spirit. Assurance, guidance, witness. Fruit of the Spirit. Power of the Holy Spirit to change us. Being a good disciple - Prayer, Bible Study, Fellowship, Worship. Fighting the devil.

6. THE CHURCH

Members of God's family, a home promised in heaven. Jesus will return for us one day. Belonqing to his family here, using our gifts far the benefit of others. Supporting each other, witness and outreach, teaching and prayer.
