| Ayeka is the first Princess of Jurai and the next in line to inherit the throne. Originally, she came to rescue Mihoshi after recieving Mihoshi's emergency beacon, but instead found Ryoko. And so, Ryoko and Ayeka's fighting once again kicked into high gear with a new prize in mind, Tenchi. Ayeka by herself is the picture of royal perfection: soft spoken, polite and well mannered. She even speaks with a royal accent. But she turns into a much different person when around Ryoko. Her red eyes burn like fire and she quickly forgets her manners and grooming. Her Jurai powers take the form of what look to be small wooden logs, which emmit what often looks like electricity, enabling her to restrain or electrocute her opponent (usually Ryoko). Her hatred of Ryoko stems from troubling childhood issues, each very different depending on perspective. Tenchi is very just another thing they fight over. But these differences of opinions have formed a strong bond between Ayeka and Ryoko, a sisterly love/hate relationship, and when they do set their differences apart and work together they make a good team. |
