| Mihoshi is a little different in Universe than she was in Muyo! In the OAV, she was more hard-working, but also more of a coward. In the Universe series, she is significantly lazier, spending more time asleep during the show or awake. She also seems dumber, if at all possible. But this was probably more necessary, because Kiyone makes much more of an appearance, she was made "blonder" to contrast Kiyone's character better. All the same, she's the fall guy... er, gal, often involved in slap stick comedy to lighten what might otherwise be a serious mood (and we wouldn't want that, now would we?) Mihoshi was introduced to the series sooner in the Universe series, appearing in the first episode and basicly the reason the series even took place. This one probably one of her best moments, as she was actually doing something semi-right. In pursuit of the notorious space pirate Ryoko, she was able to force Ryoko to crash-land on Earth, where she persued Ryoko in a combat suit (think mini-Patlabor) leading up to a near arrest of Ryoko. You feel kind of bad that she almost nabbed Ryoko, but she should have had the GP Miranda Rights memorized anyway. |
