Wrestling history | Like Lee Todd, he recieved his first shot in MCW but he chose to portray Chris Benoit. In the short time he was in MCW, he maintained a solid performance in the ring and was upper card. Was about to recieve a United States title match when the promotion closed, this took him to WXWA. He jumped straight in the deep end, going after anybody and everybody. The trouble was, he was taking more beatings than a fat man had hot diners. This called for him to bring in his friend Lee Todd to form The Squad. Together and with a few other guys, they began to be the ones dishing out the beatings. But they kept it simple, always having a laugh in the process. Gradually he desired more, he wasn't really going anywhere anymore with The Squad. After hooking up with the Vice-President and joined with the Hart Foundation. In this time he really came into his own, winning several titles along the way. He was taking the good guy route and it was proving to be working until the Hart Foundation decided to call it a day. Stu remained to team with the Vice-President but was now almost alone. He found himself trying several different angles to achieve sucess but nothing seemed to be working. He spent months and months going along trying different things, he then chose to try his luck in other places. He jumped into the independents, playing out Bret Hart to become the BWWF United States title. However the promotion closed and Stu went on to EWL. This was a real hardcore promotion, he competed in all kinds of crazy matches which kinda toughened him up. He also met a guy by the name of Omega Red. He started a promotion named SIWL where he became the North-american & World Champion but it wasn't to last & the place shut down. During this time his popularity was rising and he signed several promotional deals which made him a rich man. He then opened up his own place, SRW in which he won the United States title. But, he couldn't be bothered with running a small time fed. When doing all this he was still competing in WXWA, just to keep up with things. But he was still struggling along. Lee Todd was going through a rough patch too so they struck up on an idea. It was decided they would have there own promotion where real superstars would be pushed but financial things just wouldn't let it work and it ended. He was back in WXWA but not teaming with Lee Todd, in his own stable rWo. This was doomed from the start, he didn't get the right coverage and hype and it went all wrong again. Everyone saw rWo as the cheap rip off of nWo it was. Then the promotion closed and Stu Price took time off. Choosing to relax a hell of a lot and concentrate on other goals in life. Mainly, becoming a minor celebrity back home in his native England. While Lee decided to try out other places, Stu opted to stay out of the wrestling limelight, watching current events. He stood back until a spot was opened in FHW. He decided to come in under a mask, to hide his identity. He felt the Stu Price character had run it's course and chose to become The Chosen One. An all american hero who was seemingly perfect at everything he did. Basically, a chance for Stu to pay homage to two of his heroes, Curt Hennig & Kurt Angle. But it didn't last too long when he was unmasked by accident on a live pay-per-view - Stu price was back. He began by himself, being his arrogant self, and teamed with Scot Lamont but then screwed him over to claim the Intercontinental title and hook back up with Lee Todd, only this time it was with The UK Crew. Since then they have taken over the place and are set on holding the fed at arms length. Sure, certain troubles have happened and if Stu can get over them, The UK Crew wil always be on top. |
