From the beaches
of Cali to the wheat lands on the plains, the Almighty united four
messengers to proclaim
His word. Together, they form Pillar.
The
name...
"Pillar" was inspired by the message in I Timothy 3:15, where
Paul described God's household as "...the pillar and foundation of
truth." Taking on the name Pillar was a simple way to express the
band's roots and focus.
The
music...
The group's musical style as a whole evolved from each individual band
member's own musical influences, such as P.O.D., Pax 217, Limp Bizkit,
311, and Rage Against the Machine . This result is a culmination of rock,
rap, and funk complete with catchy riffs and melodic interludes.
The
performance...
Wherever the band is playing, they will always get the crowd excited.
Their eye-catching and heart-pounding live performance is filled with
energy and emotion that leaves the soul wanting more.
The
albums...
The June '99 release of "Metamorphosis" put Pillar on the
airwaves and took their message into places that could not be reached
through live performances alone. Their sophomore album, "Original
Superman", brings the band's sound to a whole new level. In signing
with Flicker Records, Pillar will be releasing the cd "Above" in
September of 2000.
The
ministry...
There is a message to be heard and Pillar is there to proclaim it. They
are musical messengers on a mission to bring people closer to the Kingdom.
