Notes
|
Since the death of his life rock, Ronin's
one track focus and thirst for revenge has allowed him to "will" himself
to be tougher and stronger. Until he feels he has revenged his life rock,
or no longer feels the need to do so, his shear anger and determination will
drive his strength and toughness to super-obsidiman proportions.
This singular focus, his horridly scarred body, and original lack
of social skills (or desire to be social) has further impaired his charisma.
Ronin has been blinded by the horror who slew his Liferock. This
lack of working eyeballs has impaired his perception. What perception
he has left comes from the development of his remaining senses. While his
remaining senses have been developed to a extraordinary degree, they
only allow Ronin to perform tasks he was very familiar with before the
loss of his sight. For this reason, he cannot safely or effectively wield
weapons. Ronin can still combat while unarmed, even with some skill.

Description
|
Ronin dresses minimally, wearing only tattered
breaches, a band of thick white cloth covering his wounded eyes, and his
piecemeal armor. His armor is assembled from a medium piece of chain mail
which covers the front of his torso, lower back, and one sleeve as well
as his head; a small piece of hardened leather armor which covers his upper
back and the other sleeve; two plate mail greaves and one bracer; and most
of a pair of ring mail breeches. His armor is often dirty, for it is never
removed except to be cleaned, and is only cleaned when it's filth impairs
his actions.Ronin's piecemeal armor was assembled from the scrapped belongings
of his fallen brothers.

Background
|
When Ronin heard his Liferock's call, he returned
immediately. Nearly home, he felt his Liferock die at the hands of a
horror, and upon returning he found his brothers slaughtered and the
horror wounded severely. Ronin battled the horror fiercely for three days,
but before he could deliver the killing blow he was slashed across the
face, scarring him forever and denying him natural sight. The horror then
fled, leaving Ronin broken and near death. Ronin sat mourning his Liferock
for a year and a day, during which he developed his remaining senses above
and beyond natural ability: allowing him to perform tasks previously relying
on sight alone. Upon a year and a day, Ronin preformed a ritual of renaming
and adopted the discipline of Purifier, and departed from the corpse of
his Liferock to seek revenge for all he had lost. Ronin's true name is
spoken in the long melodious language of obsidiman and is unpronounceable
by any other race.
