-3/19/04-OK OK OK HERE IT IS THE DAY WE HOPE WOULD NEVER COME AGAIN. WE LOST OUR DRUMMER AND NOW IN SERCH OF A NEW DRUMMER,
IF YOU ARE AN EXPEIRENCED DRUMMER AND YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH AN ESTABLISHED BAND EMAIL US ASAP WE HAVE LOTS OF SHOWS SO IF YOU MAKE IT

-03/16/04-We are looking for a new name and if
you know one (preferably a good one) let us know. If we like it and use it you will
win a free shirt. We are also looking for a new guitar player
so if you rock and want to play with us e-mail us at

I have some updates for you guys.
First of all we are working really hard right now writing new material.
Our style is changing just a bit so keep your ears open. We have matured
so much as a band and we expect to put out some new songs you guys can
rock-out to.
We are also negotiating some dates with our producer right know
for round two in the studio. We will give some more updates real
soon and we hope to see you at our next show. Check out our show
page for the next gig.
-03/01/04-Sorry for the slow updates guys and girls.
First and foremost there are a lot of shows this month
but for now the only ones with a confirmed date is the
March 12th show at The Asylum and the March 19th show at
Club Red Letter,

Well, don't get to attatched to the name Down Side Up because we are in the
process of changing our name, if you have any ideas email
them to us and we might use one of them. The DSU producer has finally contacted
us back and DSU will be starting a cd compilation soon, charles "has his fingers crossed" on this one.

How Down Side Up came to be.
Two years ago a couple of guys Charles and Jon got together to combine their
musical talent. Their love for music soon grew to three and the band New and Improved
was born!!! Stevo their new member could lay down some phat beats. After throwing
some music together and first attempting to put on their first show out of the garage on
halloween night they decided it was time for some real shows. A few months later they
had their first real show at battle of the bands in the Bronco Bowl. After that they started
playing more shows at The Door, Trees, and Curtain Club. During the early spring
Charles, Jon, and Stevo went to Robin Hood Studios in Tyler to record there first Ep.
(Most songs are no longer played anymore because they are lame) Over the summer
the band now Last call started building up a following by putting on free shows along
with other bands in their hometown of Mesquite, Tx. After inner struggles in the band
Stevo and Last Call had to go separate ways. Over the next summer Jon and Charles
started looking for a new drummer....and a new band name cause Last Call was not
working. By the end of the summer they descoverd Matt a dude From Rockwall who
could fill the spot for the band very well. They were now whole again doing better than
ever, and finnaly Down Side UP chosen as a band name. Using the time they had
lost searching for a new drummer Chuk and Jon wrote new music and started molding
a whole new sound for Down Side Up. The result, a more powerful rock/altrnative/punk
sound. Catchy melodic rifts and in your face lyrics ready to take the world by storm.
Currently working on their first full length albulm in the same place they recorded their
Ep, Down Side Up now has a new beginnig for these three boys to get their music
across to anybody that goes through hard times and sucky life experiences. It all starts
here a new begnning, are you ready to be impressed???
