(03/02/05) - To coin the refused; THE VANITY CASE ARE FUCKING DEAD. Yeh...after a year and a couple weeks, two records, a dozen or so songs, a dozen or so gigs, many practices, and countless numbers of lost picks, the VC have decided to call it a day. Although the reasons are our own, This is quite the mutual decision and should certainly be regarded as an amicable divorce. But worry not. Alex is still playin wit Simply Awaiting and any other future projects shall in some way or other be brought to your attention. Our CDs will still be available (just speak to us). The Volts show Compilation (cheers to all the guys down in Swansea btw) will be coming out within the next few days so pick up a copy. The guestbook will remain open for a couple of weeks so leave your comments. We would like to say thanks to everyone who has made this last year so much fun for us (and to the few who tried to make it hell). Huge, huge thanks to everyone of the bands we hav played with (in some way, shape or form we shall no doubt see you again), everyone who has let us play on their bill (xtra thanks to Dar and TS - Youve been real good for puttin up with us), everyone who has taken the time to buy, borrow, copy or steal either of our records. To anyone who has leant us stuff, driven us round, moved equipment, served us food, cheered, clapped or just been pleasant to us in anyway thank you so much.
