Biography

Of all the various types of music there is only one that truly comes from the heart-- Gospel music. Gospel music is the "good news" set to music.

Kentucky is known for many talented gospel groups. The Waldridge Family is an up- and -coming trio of siblings that love to sing praises to the Lord.

The Waldridge Family, from Mount Eden, Kentucky consists of three siblings that learned about music while attending church services in their grandmother's home church. Although their music is flavored with many different styles, the theme remains the same-- "It's all about Jesus."

This anointed group placed second in the Crabb Family Homecoming gospel music contest in 1997. They also placed second in the Renfro Valley gospel contest in 1998. Recently, in 2002 this talented group placed in the finals at Lincoln Jamboree.

Leon Waldridge, the eldest brother, is a singer/songwriter and plays piano. Leon writes all the original material for "The Waldridge Family". Leon deals with lifes tragedies and joys by putting the emotions into musical composition.

Brent Waldridge, the youngest brother, sings lead and harmony vocals. He also plays bass guitar for the group. Brent is married to a beautiful lady named Renee. They have three sons named Josh, Cody, and Shane.

Wanda Waldridge Watts sings lead and harmony vocals. Wanda has just recently ventured out into songwriting. Wanda and Leon co-wrote "Seeds" off of the "He Never Fails" project. Wanda's main job, being the only sister, is to keep the two boys in line. Wanda just graduated fromKentucky Central Technical College. Wanda is also a Mom and wife. Wanda is married to a wonderful man named Steve. Steve and Wanda have three children named Valerie, Kelsey, and Steven.
