See how Scotland's national drink is produced, see the whole process from beginning to end, sample the end product.

Situated at the top of the Royal Mile it only a short stumble walk from many of Edinburgh's other attractions, worth a visit at the end of the day when you are weary and need of a pick me up, it is not about an alcoholic drink, it is about Scotland's culture and industry, more of an education than a drinking exercise (If you want anymore excuses you will need to think of them yourself!!).

In all seriousness the art of Whisky production is a complex science built up by master distillers over hundreds of years; what water to use, when to get it, the malt, the hops and all the other ingredients, some you will be told about and some that the master distiller will keep to himself.

Learn how the different springs, hence regions, of Scotland produce different tastes, learn what to look for in a whisky, how a good malt looks and smells, why other countries have tried, and failed, to replicate the process.

At the end of the tour you can visit the shop and buy a sample (Or two) - as a memento of course, you can also buy other souvenirs - that's up to you!
