Culver is an old abandoned hospital in Crawfordsville, Indiana. I was born in this hospital on November 26th, 1976. My roommate and all of his brothers were also born there. A new hospital was built in Crawfordsville at some point, and this facility was then used as apartment housing. Eventually, one of the residents had a drunken accident that ended in her death, and when the city inspected the apartments, they found the conditions unacceptable and shut it down.

Or so the story has been told to me that way. Culver has been abandoned now for upwards of 10-15 years. My friend Tim and I went there back in January and he took some pictures you can look at over here. Those were taken very late at night. These were taken during a very pleasant, sunny afternoon. The place still creeped me out. I love it.

I apologize for my finger in a few shots. The camera was very small. I'm hoping to go back there sometime and take some more pictures, and perhaps take some inside as well.
