372-289 B.C.E. lifespan Chivalry He knew Chinese philosopher and student of Confucius (551-479 B.C.) named Mencius.

238 B.C.E. - Rome, which had been around since 753 B.C. was starting to conquer Italy and expand building the Roman Republic.

100-44 B.C.E. lifespan Comes A Horseman He knew Caesar's favorite food (I assume Julius Caesar).

69-30 B.C.E. lifespan Messenger He also strongly implied that he knew Egyptian queen Cleopatra.

27 B.C.E. - The Roman Republic collapses. Beginning of the Roman Empire.

1 A.D Rev6:8 We know he hadn't seen Silas for over 2000 years thus the 4 horseman were not together (for sure) after 1 A.D.

We also know that he hadn't gotten between a married couple in 2000 years.

"c." means "circa" which means "approximately"
B.C.E. means Before Common Era which is the same period in time as B.C. Before Christ
A.D. for Anno Dominus could also be substituted with C.E. for Common Era however primarily for clarity's sake I stayed with the traditional, though admittedly culturally biased as has been pointed out to me A.D notation.
