2008 Season

This year was a little lean due to a few problems with our insurance, which meant that we could not do as many shows. But the ones that we DID do, re-connected us with friends that we had made over the past few seasons.

Our third year at Kinson was a special occasion, as Squire Fredrick was knighted by Sir Austin. This was in recognition of 4 years as his lordship's squire & 3 hard seasons of work.

Pendragon Doctor Who Day,
Borders Southampton,
11th October 2008

Sir Fredrick & Lady Mary's membership of The Pendragon meant that there was a Wessex presence at their Doctor Who Day at Borders Southampton Branch in West Quay Retail Park. A great day was had, and a lot of money was made for Southampton's Special Babycare Unit.


Egad....The Master's turned The Doctor into a PUPPET!!!!!	Another of The Master's incarnations takes his ease with a good book	Sir Fredrick enjoys the latest scribblings.

PDSA Christmas Carnival, Boscombe,
23rd November 2008

As many of our members were away dealing with matters in the "Real" world (University for instance), and Sir Austin & Lady Susan were unable to attend due to a family crisis, it was left to Sir Fredrick & Lady Mary to represent The Wessex this year. It was not a wasted journey, as we were awarded 1st Runner-Up, and took home a nice shiny cup.

Sir Fredrick shows the appropriate "humility" in victory.....yeah, right!!!
