What is THIS place?

Since I think too much, thus having lengthy and/or numerous commentary, I have decided to archive some older ones. Over time, more will be archived. Just read some old-school thoughts I had a few months ago.

Septemeber 6, 2002: American Idol

American Idol

Much like the rest of the country, I have also been watching American Idol all summer long. I tuned in because I saw Simon Cowell diss, insult, put down all the horrible wannabe singers during the audition episodes. That had to be some of the funniest shit I've seen on TV. The sad part is that some of these people thought they were good singers. Well, they got their 15 seconds of fame. Even after the auditions, Simon still made wise-ass comments towards those who made top 60.

Then it got to 30 singers, and finally a top 10. From then on, the show just kinda grew on me. There were some attractive girls and...the other guys. At first, I was going for Kristin, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader cuz she was so hot. Too bad she didn't make top 10. Then, I went for Ryan Starr cuz she was the prettiest of the bunch. But she ended getting eliminated relatively early. I thought Kelly was a good singer and a cutie, so she was my next favorite. And guess what, she's the winner!!!

See, I was hoping Justin (guy with fro) wouldn't win. Nothing personal against him, but the girls looked so adorable and I'd rather see their faces everywhere than his hair on every TV show and magazine. I thought Nikki McKibbin (lovely gal with red hair) had such a cute face. It was crazy how she was the bottom three every week. I didn't mind though. But I think Tamyra should've beaten her. Oh well. Kelly... yea, I voted for her twice Tuesday night. I really wanted her to win. She looked cute and can sing. I hope everything goes well for her, as well as the other people. Even Justin.

August 15, 2002 / September 3, 2002: Evolution 2002 Travel Log (Part 1)

This one is waaaaaaaaaaaay too long. So I'm putting it on separate pages. Well, since most of you might now know what Evolution 2002 is, I've tried my best to make it sound kinda interesting. For those who do know...well, it'll be the 324238544th thing you'll read about Evolution.

Basically, Evolution/B-series is the "Super Bowl" of Street Fighter. For the past 8 months, players from all over the U.S. and Japan have been playing in regional tournaments, preparing for this big tourney. I'm in the Pacific North division and play in (and often run) Marvel vs Capcom 2 Sunnyvale Golfland tournaments. Well, click if you wanna read more about the trip. Don't worry, there's more than just videogames in my travel log. Yes, it's only "Part 1" because it's too long. Give me a couple days to put up the rest. Evolution 2002

July 27, 2002: Jules Asner vs. Tina Fey

Jules vs. Tina

So it's around 2:00 AM, and I'm wasting my life again online. I start talking to Matt "I'm afraid of Sacramento" Valin about Tina Fey, the coanchor of Weekend Update on SNL. I forgot how it happened, but we started to have a discussion about her and Jules Asner, E! News Daily correspondent. Ok, Matt says Tina is hella better overall than Jules. I think otherwise...let's see...

They are both smart gals. They are both sexy...in different ways. But Jules wins in that category. Look at that pic right there. Jules has one sexaaaay body. Why do you think she was former host of Wild On? However, Tina has the glasses, which are hella sexy. Another plus for Tina is that she's usually hilarious on SNL. Even though I like Tina's curled up hair, Jules's hair is just generally prettier. Jules was also in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and looked great.

Bottom Line: Jules beats Tina 4-3, with Jules OCV-ing Tina in body. Tina makes me laugh. She gets an OCV on Jules for that. Jules > Tina. Take that, Matthew! There's not real science to this. Just some random thoughts I decided to put down. But in the end, I still like them both.

July 11, 2002: Summer Reno Trip 2002 & the $11 Pandas

Ah yes, it has been 3 days since I have returned from a 4-day trip to Reno during the July 4th weekend. Most people know that I go to Reno 3 to 5 times a year. My parents are V.I.P at some of the hotels so it's all good. This surprisingly was an awesome vacation. Let's see...you can read about MvC2, CvS2, Girls, and the $11 pandas.

Marvel vs Capcom 2: See, my brother and I are Street Fighter aficionados. Every time we go to Reno, we are always at the MvC2 cabinet. We were told beforehand that it was broken, and nobody there could fix it. It so happens that it was fixed the night before, so now I could spend hours playing random people! We pretty much beat everyone for the next few days, with the exception of a couple losses here and there (to "Reno" Rob!).Interestingly, there was some kid nobody liked. Everyone said he was cocky. They told us to beat his ass mercilessly. Well, we beat him many times. Nothing personal. He spent over 15 bucks trying to beat us. He did get a couple of random wins, but couldn't beat my brother's Spiral/Cable/Sentinel. Hell, I beat him with Amingo/Cable/Storm and Mag/Ruby/Psylocke. On another note, I had a mini-streak with Sakura/Cammy/Tron, and 3 wins with Roll/Storm/Servbot.

Capcom vs SNK 2 tourney: On Friday, I went to Fun Quest to play in the CvS2 tournament. I was hoping that I would do well, considering that I do horribly at Sunnyvale Golfland tournies. Anyways, I knew I wasn't gonna get 1st or 2nd because I'm not as good as Rob and JP, but I thought I could hold my own against the rest. After a 1st round win, I played JP. He beat me, but it was a pretty close match. In the losers' bracket, I beat two more people, and then I went against Paul. I pretty much had this won, but in BOTH OF THE LAST ROUNDS, I SCREWED UP SOOOO MANY TIMES... and lost. We had like 5% life left. 12 people watching were yelling "oooh" after our match. Even he said I should've won. Oh well, I got 5th out of...25 players. Damn, I could've gotten 3rd! Oh darn. We left around 1:30, and right before we were gone, another player, Andre gave us $30 in tokens and 2 passes to Q-Zar lazer tag! What a nice guy.

Girls! Girls! Girls!: Man, so many hot girls in Reno, more so than before...more so than NEW YEAR'S! There were hella hot girls at Fun Quest at the CvS2 tourney...they weren't IN the tourney, but they were at Fun Quest....c'mon, it was Friday night. I couldn't focus. Just go ask JP. Try playing video games when two hot girls are straddling a motorcycle game ten feet from you.

The 11-dollar Pandas: Sunday night. My last night in Reno. It was somewhat empty. No more MvC2 players. Not much hot girls. So, I decided to win a cuddly panda, which was holding a baby panda. After 5 bucks, I didn't win. After another 5 bucks, I still didn't win. I had one more dollar. With my last 50 cents, I was one ball away from a win. I f'ed up. No Panda. ELEVEN DOLLARS and NO PANDAS. Damn it. But I did take a picture of them.

June 9, 2002: I like the Disney Channel

Christy Romano as Ren Stevens Yes, I'm going to college, and I still enjoy watching the Disney Channel. There are some entertaining shows and movies on there. It started when I would be flipping channels and I'd stumble upon a movie on Disney. I don't know how or why, but I'd get hooked on the movie and have to finish it. Johnny Tsunami, Brink, Cadet Kelly, Double Teamed and a bunch of other movies are nice to watch when I got nothing else to do. There was even P.U.N.K.s with a young Jessica Alba acting like a tomboy. Now that's pretty damn funny.

Just as entertaining are the TV shows, Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire. I'm serious. Good shit on the Disney Channel. Damn, Christy Romano (pictured) is very attrative and funny on Even Stevens. Unfortunately, I haven't found too many pics of her, other than vidcaps. Hilary Duff is cute as Lizzie McGuire. Yes, she's like 14 or something. Eh, whatever. Back to Christy...who's 18... She's also the voice of Kim on Kim Possible. I saw that show yesterday, and I think it's pretty silly and funny. Yup, more Disney Channel goodness.

May 21, 2002: Super Duper Movies

Movie Hotties!

I watched Spider-Man last week, and I loved it. I sooooo want to be Spider-Man right now! He has always been cool, but watching him in a motion picture is just awesome. Not only that, Kirsten Dunst looked soooooo lovely as Mary Jane! She looked the best during the parade scene...my goodness...It's great to hear that a sequel is coming out around May 2004. Personally, I would want Venom in it. Eddie Brock (Venom's real name) was mentioned by J.J. Jameson at the Daily Bugle, so maybe something can happen there. Then, for the next movie, I want to see CARNAGE!!!

Star Wars: Episode II is f'n tight!!! In order to love this movie, you gotta have seen the other movies and kinda know what is going on. It was somewhat slow at the beginning with a couple of cool scenes, but everything picked that last hour or so. The actions scenes were so damn cool. The love scenes were okay. A tad cheesy, but Natalie Portman was looking really hot. Anakin seemed pretty cool too, with his Darth Vader-ness starting to show. Jango Fett definitely kicked ass. Great to see Boba as a wee lad. And of course, YODA!!! Man, he was rushing that shit down! Forget being Spidey, I wanna be a Jedi!!! Woooo, Episode 3 should be awesome...now, we gotta wait three years!!

April 18, 2002: Spring Break 2002

Spring Break for me happened about 3 weeks ago....well, let's see what happened. Right when I got home, I got rejected from UC Berkeley...wow, that sucked. But then I got to go to Reno again. Overall, it was a fun trip, but it could've been better. I played a lot of Capcom vs SNK 2 against "Reno" Rob and his buddy, JP. I played some MvC2 but no one was really playing it. Anyways...everything seemed fine until I got home. I had a sh!tload of homework, and I was just dead lazy. I did nothing for the rest of Spring Break. I did get to see other students have fun on MTV Spring Break...

April 17, 2002: Britney

As I am updating this site, I am listening to Britney Spears's most recent album. Why did I buy it? Well, I went to Media Play to return a crappy CD player for the second time. The friendly salesperson said he didn't want to give me another broken CD player, so I got store credit instead. However, I had to spend it right then and there. So, 35 bucks to spend...didn't know what to buy. Due to time constraints, I got an X-Men book and...yes...the Britney Spears album.

Might I say, this is not a bad album. It is pretty good. I own the other two also (stop laughing), and they all sounded great to me. Many don't like her songs or her in general. Whatever. She looks good. Her songs sound fine to me. She gyrates without much clothes on...and as of now, I believe she is single.

March 22, 2002: Positively Andy

I got back from a school retreat yesterday. I was away from home for about 4 days, and might I say that was one of the best experiences of my life. It is hard to explain, but let's just say I'm feeling really really happy and upbeat right now. I have a more positive and upbeat outlook towards life now. I have a couple new philosophies that I am starting to go by. I do not want to get too detailed. I will just end by saying that I am feeeeeeling positive. Whoooooo. I feel like giving somebody a hug. "Let things happen." ......"Seize the moment"...."Regret will eat at you forever"...

January 26, 2002: Hi-Pitch Eric

About two months ago, I heard one of the funniest things on The Howard Stern Radio Show. Ok, imagine this: A 311-pound guy with a very high voice, wearing nothing but a thong that is 5 times too small, being poked with a giant fish...still with me? Anyways, Hi-Pitch Eric is the name of the guy being "attacked" with the fish. Well, he is absolutely afraid of fish for some unknown reason...he couldn't explain it himself. It's hard to explain because you just have to see it...3 guys cornering a 311-lb man with three fish (or is that fishes? Whatever). Hi-Pitch Eric was scared to death of the fish. Funny as hell, although, it looked pretty cruel. I wish I can describe it more for you...I have it on video...funny funny stuff.

January 24, 2002: "Bring It On" + Buffy

Bring It On

I finally got the chance to watch the movie, Bring It On, and I gotta say, it was a very entertaining movie. I thought Kirsten Dunst was adorable, and Eliza Dushku was so "Faith"-like, which is a good thing since for the past two days, I watched Buffy season 3 reruns with Faith in it. I really liked the cheerleader-related stuff. Cheerleaders rule. Just look at them! So pretty in their cheerleader outfit. Woof Woof. I just saw a trailer for next week's all-new Buffy, and damn, I think Sarah Michelle Gellar's new haircut is awesome. It makes her look sweeeeeeet. There has to be pictures of her with the new hair. It just looks so gooooood.

January 16, 2002: An Interesting Dream

dream of her? Ain't I lucky

Well, two weeks ago, I had a dream about Charisma Carpenter, aka Cordelia Chase from Angel. I went to bed at about 4:00 in the morning. Before falling asleep, I was thinking about Charisma. Why? It is a long story as to how I began to think about her, but anyways...After ten minutes of lying in bed, thinking about Charisma, I finally fell asleep. Then, I get a dream of her. I can't remember the exact details, but there's ONE thing that I do remember: for about 3 seconds, she was in a black thong. Yes, that is weird, but good. Since then I haven't had any neat dreams like that, but what can I do?
