Matt graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Sociology with an emphasis in juvenile corrections. He grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and most of his family still lives in the Tulsa area.
Amy graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Family Relations and Child Development. She grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma; after moving there when she was 3 years old.
On April 26, 2001, Matt and Amy were blessed with the birth of their first child. Gabriel James Wiley is a very active baby, and he keeps his parents very busy.
Matt, Amy and Gabriel are now living in Cape Town, South Africa. They are working with the Student YMCA at Peninsula Technikon. They are hanging out on campus and getting to know the students. Matt is hoping to lead a men's Bible study in the residence halls. He will also be leading a series of lectures on the book of Mark with students.
Matt and Amy are in South Africa with Mission to the World, the mission sending organization of the Presbyterian Church in America. They plan to live in South Africa for two years.
