The Road to Happiness

This poem was written on valentines day in a fit of single depression. Depression which has caused me to close doors of oppourtunity. I can't seem to get past my own conscience to do want I really want to do.





The road to happiness
bears a dead end sign
Lady Luck...
She's no friend of mine

My joy comes with pain
the long quest for love
I have no chance here
when push comes to shove

Give me some help
Just give me a sign
tell me what I want to hear
say that you'll be mine

Just the sight of you
is all I need to see
your smile, one look into your eyes
tells me the we are meant to be

Every mintue of everyday
I ask myself why...
Why can't I tell you
how I feel when I look into your eyes.
