		I moved to Atlanta, Georgia from Suffolk, Virginia to attend Morehouse College, where I studied history. I also received my certification in Social Studies for grades 7-12.  I am certified through the Georgia Professional Standards Comission and the Fulton County Board of Education.  I have been involved within the education sector for many years.   I enjoy teaching and learning about the past, present and the future.  History deals with the present and future as much as the past.  The old saying, "History repeats itself," I believe, is very valid.  "To learn the future is the study the past." I enjoy outdoor sports and participate in track and field, volleyball, and tennis.  I love being a specatator for football, basketball (couldn't make a lay up if you my life depended on it), and baseball.  I believe that all students are capable of obtaining success, however it depends on the opportunities that are afforded to those students.  I intend to give my students all the possible opportunities to not only succeed after graduation but for the betterment of their lives and their existence within the community.  I am currently the assistanct Cross Country and Track and field coach with Coach Jefferson.  I am also the National Beta Club sponsor.
