Killer Kowalski wrestled over 6,000 matches from 1947-1977, in organizations such as the Natonal Wrestling Alliance, and American Wrestling Assocation.

Killer Kowalski was always a heel, and became a main antagonist of Bruno Sammartino in the WWWF throughout the 1960's and 70's.

Kowalski was a huge star in Australia, and actually is considered a household name.

There was an incident where Kowalski was wrestling Yukon Eric in Canada. Kowalski had him upside down in the corner, and came crashing down on his ear, ripping half of it off. The helped Kowalski get over more as a "Killer".

After retirement, Kowalski started Killer Kowalski's Professional Wrestling School. There, he trained superstars such as Perry Saturn, John Kronus, Triple H, Chyna, "Big" John Studd, Chris Nowinski, April Hunter, A-Train, and Ken Doane (now known as Kenny Dykstra in WWE).

Kowalski was know to be thoughtful and an intellectual figure outside of the ring, even though his gimmick said differently.

Kowalski is a longtime vegetarian, and many believe that is why he outlasted most wrestlers of his day, and continued wrestling way after they retired.

Looking through wrestling history there are some wrestlers that very much helped make wrestling what it is, and Killer Kowalski is definitely one of those guys. Althought he never won the WWWF Title, even though he did tried many times, he put the fight to champions such as Bruno Sammartino and Pedro Morales. And without Kowalski there, maybe Sammartino or Morales, wouldn't have been as popular of champions as what they came out to be.
