Hail you spineless leeches. It has recently come to my attention that if we could break down and separate the average human body into it's chemical components.. they would be worth a total of about $22.00 US (approximately) Does this shock you?. it Didn’t shock me, cause I made it up but the figure is somewhere in that vicinity .This led me to wonder about the price we put on our bodies, the thing which is most sacred to us, but also the thing we throw around with total disregard and knowingly poison. Then I started to think about sex, and where was I? So anyway, the guy took it back for a refund. Everyone loves a slut, literally. I could go into the deep psychoanalytical discussion about what causes people to become the sexual equivalent of water-based paint (think hard- it's deep). What motivates the slut to degrade their gender by spreading their legs for any sailor with a shilling is difficult to define, but I prefer not to investigate it because quite frankly - we need sluts. Without sluts(of both sexes) we would have no D.P.B, no Jerry Springer and some of us wouldn’t even be here. I recently took my pissy student allowance and bought a nights pleasure with the Mongoloid daughter of a Russian trawler captain. Her delicate beard tickled my chest as I went to work on her 4 foot by 4 foot frame and seventeen seconds of pure ecstasy latter, I dozed off in her muscular arms. I am of course kidding, there’s no way I could afford her on my student allowance. Instead I spent the night in my neighbors chicken coop. Lets talk 'johns' (the consumers of prostitution). To me, sex is something beautiful and to be enjoyed between two consenting adults who are aware of the risks and are responsible for the consequences. So what is a man getting when he pays for sex with a virtual stranger? Some level of sexual relief obviously, but surly no where near as satisfying as sex with someone he cares about and feels strongly connected to. In real life, unless you frequent the outback, entering into a sexual relationship requires the input of a certain amount of time, effort and commitment. So what is a man seeking when he visits a brothel??? Simple.. Sex without the strings. My question: what’s wrong with the strings? The strings may well be the best part. As for the 'working girls'. I can't believe they allow themselves to be sexually violated time and time again, with the only rewarding factor being the fact they are making money out of it. I would suggest these woman that prostitute themselves are not bad people, but they are making it harder for woman to achieve the equality they seek. Women being treated as a commodity or purely a body is frowned upon by feminists, I recall some feminist protests outside a bordello, harassing and picketing the 'johns' as they arrived. You don’t fix the problem by curing the symptoms. Why prostitution? There are few jobs that require as little effort, for so much money. It's upsetting to think some of the ladies you see around tertiary institutes of our country be they friends, strangers, associates or possibly even our girlfriends work a couple of nights a week at a local brothel (and don't pretend its not happening) the fact is, if your a female student trying to make the best of a bad funding situation - what better way to earn a good weeks wage in an evening or two. Although their are male prostitutes, they are few and far between so I skirt around their equally important plight. Now assuming you have prostitutes who are operating of their own free will (not due to intimidation or financial desperation), Management who are looking after the health, welfare and well-being of both the clients and their 'workers', and customers who are willing to lay down their hard earned cash for the service. what could possibly be wrong about it all??? This utopian version of prostitution is seldom the way it is in the 'real world'. If their is one saving grace, we can be thankful that prostitution in New Zealand is largely 'safe' and the women usually enter into it of their own free will. But as always, there are glaring and disconcerting expectations. Although prostitution my seem an easy money maker; a quick fix. I hope you realize money is not as important as your health, your peace of mind and the ability to love and to be loved. Wisdom: Sex is a weapon, life is the war.
