Summary:
Imaginate is a tiny image viewer, similar
to ACDSee's image viewer but much thinner and only including
the most basic and useful features. And it's for free.
But, too, there have been introduced some extra features that
you may find useful.
There is no documentation included in
the package (yet).
For the moment, I hope the slim features are self-explanatory.
The viewer supports the most popular image
formats:
Bmp, Dib, Rle, Pcx, Pbm, Pgm, Ppm, Tga, Jpeg, Png.
I would have liked to include support for Gif (and Tiff),
too, but unfortunately they both rely on the LZW compression
algorithm and this algorithm is not available for free.
But I think, this is no big thing since Png is intended to
make Gif obsolete.
Features:
- Parse one specific directory or parse
including subdirectories recursively.
- Zooming support including a nice, completely
fullscreen mode (see fullscreen sample screenshot with information
bars and the titlebar-buttons overlapping the image so that
the image can use the complete fullscreen area for display)
- Displaying the image alone or repetative
(useful for textures) in high (interpolating) and low quality
- Displaying alpha channels blended into
the image or in a separate image
- Rotation by 90 degrees, Mirroring,
Aspect Ration distortion, Gamma adjustment, Inversion
- 3 kinds of display modes for the several
(yet textual-only) information bars including ability to
show and hide them
- During runtime selectable languages
english and german
- File associations support with complete
recovery on disabling them or on uninstallation.
- A popup menu including keyboard shortcuts
for fast access to all important features.
