1. Game turns will be sent two day after all submissions are received.
2. You must respond to a game turn two days after a game turn is received. If you are late with your turns more than three times without a good explaination, then you will be asked to leave the game, and I will take over your character until we can find a replacement.
3. In a combat situation, you should give me 5 or more actions that your character will take in order. I will then use these actions to describe the combat.
4. For each encounter, a best roleplayer will be selected. That player will receive 500 XP times combined levels. The best roleplayer will be determined by the quality of the e-mail messages that I receive.
5. For each encounter, a runner-up roleplayer will be selected. The runner-up will receive 250 XP times combined levels. The runner-up reolplayer will be determined by the quality of the e-mail messages that I receive.
6. Characters will receive a group XP award which is equal to a 25% portion of the XP for the encounter, and Characters will receive individual XP for defeating monsters and solving problems. Characters will receive double XP for completing potential combat encounters without fighting. No XP will be awarded for recovered treasure unless this is a main goal of an adventure.
7. Characters will receive XP for suggestions, comments and helpful hints. Suggestions can only make the game better for us all. We play fantasy games to escape for awhile, if we are escaping to a drab, lifeless world, what's the point?
8. Arcane and Spiritual magic will be cast with spell points. Your character receives one spell point for each level of spell that your character can cast. All spells will be cast as free magick, which means that mages do not have to memorize spells. All spells are cast at a cost in spell points of the level of the spell, so a fifth level spell costs 5 spell points to cast. A spellcaster cannot cast a spell that is higher on the spell progression table than their spellcaster level would allow.
9. Level advancement will take place after each encounter.
10. Characters will recieve 4 Character Points (CPs) per level.
11. The DM should be CCed with any discussions between characters to keep abreast of current events in the game.
12. Please mark secret or covert actions that you would like your character to take with the word SECRET in your e-mail message.
13. Each turn e-mail message from me will contain a summary of the previous turn, the reaction of the monsters of NPCs to your actions and the text of the next turn. Any information for your character only will appear at the bottom of the e-mail message beside the name of your character.
14. Send reponses to each turn to me only, not to the other players. I will incorporate all public information from your response into the beginning of the next turn.
15. I will send you the e-mail addresses of everyone who is playing in the game. Please responsibly use these addresses.
