The Early Years

On December 26, 1986, an angel was born. Well, not technically an angel, but that was the day that I was born. I was a beautiful child with rather large eyes. I hear the story once in awhile that when the nurse saw me, she said, "She got bug eyes!" Anyways, I had a normal childhood. I grew up with both parents and my brother, Jay. I lived in the same house all of my life, right on Second Ave. Second Ave was definitely a happnin' place back in the day. There were a lot of kids, so I always had someone to play with. I went to the school right behind my house, and went to the church right across the street. Everything was easy. Life was good.I was a pretty lucky kid.

Elementary School

When I approached first grade, new changes were made in my life. I started going to Eastern Christian Elementary School, which was in a town I had never heard of, Midland Park. I remember hearing about EC and thinking that it sounded like Easter Christian. First grade Ms. Koster was my teacher. I sat next to Ali. She didn't like me at first because I bumped her elbow. We soon became friends though, because we were both fans of reading. We were the two kids who got to go to the library during reading time to get chapter books. Elementary school brought to me a fondness of reading. All I seemed to do was read. This did not change for quite a few years. I had friends, but I was not really popular. I was always quiet and kind of nerdy. The nerdiness was of course increased when I got glasses in second grade. We all have our awkward phase I guess. Mine just happened to last longer than most.

Middle School

Middle School also brought new changes to my life. I became more obsessed with books when I learned about Accelerated Reader, a program where you actually get prizes for reading! I of course was quite fond of that. I did not really talk much. I had a few friends, mainly Elisabeth. She was my best friend in middle school and still is now. Nothing really happened in fifth and sixth grade. I was quiet, didn't do much besides reading. After sixth grade, something changed in me. I started talking more. I was more outgoing. I was less intimidated by everyone. I became friends with Mary and Amy. Up until seventh grade, I was quite scared of them. They were very intimidating people. Seventh and eighth grade I had more friends and talked to more people. They were very nice years for me. I seemed to be coming out of my shell.

High School

High school began. I was no longer in the comfort zone of my middle school. But, I survived. Well, so far. I'm only a junior as of today. Freshman year came with an obsession with ninjas. I went to the ninja site frequently (www.realultimatepower.net) and quoted it constantly with my friends. Sophomore year I got my first boyfriend. I'm still going out with him, actually. He's a fun kid. There are some pictures of him in the photography page. I cannot really commment too much on high school, though, because it is not over yet. So, until then, this will have to do.
