On Dec. 16, 2002 it took a total of 7 minutes for Judge Bernstein to reverse the December 2001 Planning Board denial of the Desimone/Tilter(Copek/Ruvo) application.
After 5 long and technically complicated planning board meetings including testimony by noted hydrologist Joe Skupien, we were shocked and think you will be too when you download the hearing. Particular tidbits include the town attorney's statement that the accounts of flooding were 'anecdotal'. And the Judge's comment that "well, there is a detention system"...
This is the smaller project on Liongate (Off of Broad, North of Bay) where the developer hopes to build 42 townhouses on pristine wetlands and floodplain of the Third River.
