We all want this..

Liongate

The BTRA is not making a big push to get members and supporters to attend this meeting; if you are able to attend we welcome your support.  If you can muster a few words at the microphone, that is good, too. (You can always write something and read it...which can help overcome public speaking fears. Also if you don't know what to say, you can just say "I support the greenway initiative).  Remember to sign up on the sheet at the front of the room ..if you are going to be late and want to be signed in, let us know and we will sign you in.

If you cannot attend you can send a letter or email to the mayor and council and ask to have it read at the public meeting.

And we encourage people to write letters to the editors of the two local papers and the Star Ledger.

If you have the shirt ribbon, remember to wear it.  If you need some ribbons for antennas, trees or shirts, talk to us at the meeting.

The proposed greenway would serve as an emerald necklace through Bloomfield from North to South.  The properties at the Liongate site are critical to this initiative.

By supporting the Greenway we are giving ourselves and our descendants some breathing space as we catapult into a future where New Jersey's state
master plan calls for 1,000,000 more residents to live, shop and work.  Bloomfield is already 95% developed,  your help is critical to putting the
breaks on building on the little open land we have remaining.

By supporting the Greenway you are supporting your neighbors whose homes are in the flood path of the Third River and  who will only see increased erosion and increased flooding if these developments came to fruition.

By supporting the Greenway, you are reducing the rapid increase in school population, traffic congestion, pollution, and stress on city services that these developments would create.

The council needs to see you and hear you.
