The twists and turns continue!
The adjourned meeting of April 18 which met on Tuesday, May 15, has in turn been adjourned until June 12!
You might wonder why. The reason espoused by Arch Lawyer Ralph Salerno was his concern that the 6 board members present on May 15 might end up having a split vote if a vote were to be taken that night. And if a vote is split, it turns into a denial.
Chairman Alan LaQuaglia agreed with Salerno's concerns and explained that Planning Board member Mr. Zitka became unexpectedly sick just before the meeting which caused the board to be evenly-numbered. Although the board initially planned to reconvene the following week, when our expert Joe Skupien said next week wasn't good for him, the June 12 date was picked (other member's scheduling conflicts precluded other dates).
Please mark the date and plan on bringing your mother, father, uncle, aunt, cousins, neighbors, dry cleaners, butcher, candlestick maker, children, spouse, friends, acquaintances to the meeting. A good turn out would be GREAT!
ON other matters:
We urge all registered Democrats and non-affiliateds will make the effort to go to the polls on June 5 to vote. For more information about the tough primary battle underway, see www.localsource. com, baristanet.com, or mycommunity.com (Bloomfield life's website).
