X-Men
The X-Men is the group that started it all. From the original five
(Angel, Beast, Cyclops, Iceman and marvel Girl) the team have gone
through many changes, but remained at it's core a school for mutant to
learn to control and develop their powers. By checking the bios of each
character, the story of this children of the atom will become clear.

can be said that Generation X is the pure dream of Charles Xavier. The
team is a group of mutants with little or none knowledge of their powers
(O.K. except Monet) that want to control them to have a better life and
many times to protect others. The idea of the Generation X began with
the X-Men, when younger Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Hank McCoy, Robert
Drake and Warren Worthington formed the X-Men. The formation of the New
Mutants, even under the fact that Xavier believed the X-Men were dead,
was the next step. Now that the ex-New Mutants are at X-Force,
Generation X is the future. When the evil entity know as Phalanx
kidnapped the X-Men and started to capture young mutants, Banshee, White
Queen, Sabretooth and young Jubilee went to the rescue. Many members of
the current roster were found in those battles, like Skin, M and Synch.
When the Phalanx was destroyed, the formation of the team was
inevitable. Jubilee resigned from the X-Men to finally learn how to
control her powers. In their first day at the Massachusetts Academy,
they met Chamber and Penance, who was delivered by Gateway (who used to
hang with them for some time). Some time later, they rescued Mondo from
the Hellfire Club soldiers. The crew has many motives to be there: Husk
wants to be an X-Men, just like her brother Cannonball. Skin just wanted
to learn to control his epidermis. Synch and Jubilee, besides wanting to
control their bodies, believe in Xavier dream of coexistence. Chamber
and Penance, I think, just don't have anywhere to go, so why don't stay?
M's motives, like her past, are still a mystery, but she seems loyal.
The potential of Generation X as a group is awesome. Some of the
members, like Jubilee, Chamber and M have the power to level a building
in a few seconds. Skin, Mondo and Husk, even having some strange powers,
have abilities while using them stranger and more amazing then anything.
Penance, well, while Wolverine had adamantium bones, this girl have an
entire body hard as diamond (but Wolvie still the best). Synch is the
greatest asset to the team. In Banshee's opinion, he can learn to
maintain the powers he synchs on, permanently. This reminds of Rogue,
but without the memory problem. It has been said that the value of a
hero it's measured by his enemies. If that is right, Generation X is
great. In not so much time, they fought Emplate twice, the Orphan Maker,
Gene Nation, Omega Red, Toad, their teammate Synch, Black Tom Cassidy,
Sentinels and even posed as detectives. Besides the Gen X'ers,
Generation X is formed also by Sean Cassidy and Emma Frost, Banshee and
White Queen, the teachers. The little mutants, Artie, Leech and Franklin
Richards also joined the group, but left some time later. Artie and
Leech were first members of the X-Factor junior league, the
X-Terminators. Franklin, after the death of his parents of the Fantastic
Four, was sent to Generation X by his grandfather Nathaniel Richard.
