| The Assyrians are favoured not so much as for their army, but for their villagers. The Assyrian villager moves 30% faster then any other villager from other races with the exception of the Yamato which also have this bonus. These villagers allow you to gather up resources faster and therefore will most likely lead to a faster bronzing and ironing time. The strategy with the Assyrians is not to build up your troops, but rather to attack as soon as possible to catch your opponent off guard since you will most likely bronze before them. The other bonus that the Assyrians have which is that Archery range unit fire 40% faster also goes well with this early bronze rush. It just helps to destroy things faster. However, if your early attacks fail and you can't mount up another attack until you iron, then attack with catapults, heavy cavalry and maybe some long swordsmen. Protect you cats with the long swordsmen and attack with your cavlary. Just make sure that you go for the early attack since that is what the Assyrians are best at. You should also protect your town with ballista or just normal towers. |
