| The Minoans are notorious for their ranged units. Their Composite Bowman have a +2 range which is useful since bowman aren't very strong so with the extra range you will be able to get a few extra shots off. The strategy for using bowmen is to mass produce them until you have enough that only one shot from each bowman is enough to kill a elephant (no, not the wild elephants you hunt for). You should also take advantage of the -30% ship cost that the Minoan have. These ships can be used to protect your trading routes, or which I prefer to do witht hem, attack! A large amounts of iron age troops can destroy a lot in a short period of time. If you want to, you can make fishing boats in the beginning of the game to fish since fishing is the fastest way to get food this would be ideal since fishing ships only cost 35 wood. You should farm for most of your food since Minoan farms have +25% food production. Also, if you are short on wood, this +25% food production also helps since it allows you to double up on farming. |
