Age Of Empires Strategy - Civs - Pheonicians

Strategy
The Phoenicians is a good race to use if you are a beginner. They have pretty much every unit and upgrade in the game. The only major set back is that the Phoenies don't have cats. In every other race, cats are essential for survival without them the race would pretty much suck. But witht he Phoenies, you can substitute a bunch of Composite Bowman or some Juggernauts to replace the hole that having no cats gives you.The Phoenicians are best for Iron age attacks. This is because all of their benefits are for Iron age troops/units. The -25% Elephant Archer and War Elephant cost helps you produce a large army of elephants at a reduced price as opposed to other races. This is very good because elephants are one of the best units in the game. They can take out pretty much anything except for fully upgraded centurions. But let's face it, it's quite rare for someone to get fully upgraded centurions in a normal random map game. So with this in mind, elephants can be considered as one of the best units in the game. The other benefit is +65% Catapult Trireme and Juggernaut fire rate. This allows you to control the high seas. The only other race that can challenge you is the Minoans since Minoan ships cost less. So the Phoenies can control the land with their cheap elephants and own the sea with their fast firing and heavy damaging Catapult Trireme and Juggernauts. This is very good for a beginner since the Phoenicians have good troops at a cheaper cost.
