This here is another good civiliation to use. Like with all of the other cilvilizations in the game, you always have to take advantage of the benifits that the civilization you are using gives you. The Sumerians have what many players would say one of the best benefits. Their 50% farming bonus. This bonus allows you to double up on farming during those shaky first 12 minutes until you bronze. You should always save wood in the tool age so that you can use it when u bronze. Since the Sumerians have this 50% farming benefit, it allows you to save up wood by doubling up on your farming. So when you use the Sumerians, make sure you take advantage of this farming bonus. The Sumerians don't have any bonuses that would allow for a more powerful attack in the Bronze age, so my suggestion is for you to wait until Iron. However, if you choose to attack in bronze, then just mass produce chariot archers and the occasional catapult to take down any towers. You could either use chariots to attack or use the broad swordsmen. The broad swordsmen are one of the most powerful bronze age unit in the game, then can just about take down anything in bronze. So be sure to use those if you are opting for a more powerful attack as opposed to a quick and swift attack. If you are the type that likes to sit back and build up your defenses before you attack, then you will most likely be the type of player that attacks in the Iron age. The Sumerians also, like the Hittites, have a very good bonus in terms of Siege Workshop units. Although their catapults etc. don't have double hit points like the Hittites, the none the less have an attack bonus which is useful. Their cats have a 50% fire rate which means they fire faster therefore resulting in a more damaging attack. Since the Sumerians have centurions, i highly suggest you use those to protect your cats while you pound away at the enemy defenses. After you have destroyed their troops, it's time to go in for the kill. Attack hard with your elephants and completely flatten the enemy base.Try to add a couple or horse archers in there to kill faster units like villiagers that can outrun your elephants and centurions. However, just because you have a good attack doesn't mean you don't have to defend your base, try to use ballista towers, horse archers and long swordsmen to protect your base. Remember as many players often forget, protect you villiagers!!!!!!!!! |
