July 13, 2000 - The Babylonian Civilization Strategy has been sent in by _MJ_Heat, who own this excellent site: http://mj_heat.tripod.com/! The Chinese strategy is coming later.

In other news, the circle, I mean the new site design, is almost complete. All I need to do is implement the AOK nav pages and then i am all done. I plan two more strategy releases before releasing the new version of this site.

July 11, 2000 - The Yamato Civilization Strategy has been released! More to come later in the week.

July 9, 2000 - The Choson Civilization Strategy has been released! Come back on Tuesday for the House of the Rising Sun.

July 8, 2000 - I'm very sorry for not updating the past few weeks. I had exams, got a new computer, and it took me quite a while to get the new computer all set up. I am still working on a new version of this site. But for now, here is the Pheonicians Civilization Strategy.

June 11, 2000 - I've finally figured out a way to get rid of the bottom banner (in frames). Now you can use http://aoe.ticaoe.com for your accessing needs rather than http://thisiscool.clanworld.org/aoe/.

June 10, 2000 - I won't be able to update as often during the next 2 weeks. I hope to release the new version of the site by the end of the month. Also, I found a cool place to read jokes & comics .

June 7, 2000 - The Assyrian.civilization strategy is up. Check it out!

June 4, 2000 - Here's the site of the AOE player who has been submitting the civ strategies. Check it out: http://mj_heat.tripod.com/mj_heat's_academy.

June 2, 2000 - Here's a small preview for the new version of this site:

  • more graphics

  • AOE and AOK combined into one page
  • page should be viewed under a 600*800 screen resolution

May 31, 2000 - Here is the first of a series of AOE civilization strategies. The first coverage is on Hittite.

In other news, this site will go under its final re-design incorporating more graphics. I can't tell you when it's going to be complete, but I'm working hard on it.

Old News 22

May 30, 2000 - Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been really busy in the past few days. But today, a screenshot update!

May 25, 2000 - The downloads search engine, along with the listing by game and map type, is now complete! Go to the main downloads page and check it out! Also you may notice the featured downloads line at the top of this page. This will change from time to time so you can get all the best downloads.

May 23, 2000 - Good news everyone! Especially for those of you who don't know how to find AOE or ROR trial maps, campaigns, etc. In a few days, you won't have to click on every letter in the downloads to find the map you're looking for, I will have a special search engine just for that. With this search engine, like the one at the bottom of this page (surprise, surprise) will also conduct usual searches of downloads, as well as these special map searches. This will also mean a small redesign to the current downloads page. I'll be busy tomorrow but hopefully, I will have this engine up by the weekends. Meanwhile, have some fun at SpeedyClick .

May 21, 2000 - New Screenshot. Not much going on in the AOE world. I'm making an AOK units sheet.

May 19, 2000 - The Screenshot Archives are back up. There was something wrong with the Xoom server. Now you can view all of the 11  previous screenshots. Also, I'm making a cool links page with lot of interesting places to go! Also, I found a great place to download wallpaper for Windows.

May 16, 2000 - New Arya Campaigns are up! These are excellent campaigns for ROR Trial. Try out Arya Campaigns 2 here.

May 15, 2000 - Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been working on the Age Of Kings page lately. Now that I have the new message board running, I will most likely post minor news items there instead of on the site. Please check there once in a while. Also, a TIC Starcraft page is coming soon.

May 8, 2000 - The ROR Trial Population changer has finally been uploaded. Grab the download here. Start the program and play Rise Of Rome. Alt-Tab out of the game and press Ctrl+P to activate the new population. Enjoy!

May 6, 2000 - I'd like everyone to know that from now on, Age Of Kings news will be posted only in the AOK section. This means you will not see this page updated as much as before, but there will be more updates to the AOK section. Screenshot of the day also updated.

I have found a nice site on AOE & ROR Trial. This is owned by the person who helped me on the AOK conversion rules. His site is @ http://1.gs/trial.

May 4, 2000 - Age Of Kings Trial reaches a whooping 1 million downloads from Microsoft's website alone. This for a game that has new maps for it.

May 1, 2000 - Two things to announce today. First, there are new Age Of Kings conversion rules on how to play the multiplayer map in single player. Read more about it in the AOK FAQ.

Next, there is a new message board! Please post your discussion topics on the new forum. I will start posting Age Of Kings Conversion topics on the forum.

April 30, 2000 - More information about The Conquerors have been released. They are the new civilizations, unique units, and campaigns that will be in the expansion pack.

The five new civilizations will be: Aztecs, Huns, Koreans, Mayans, and Spanish.

Four new unique units are: Halberdiers, Hussars, Petards, and Turtle Boats

The four new campaigns are: Atilla the Hun, El Cid, Eric the Red, and Montezuma.

This information is written on the June issue of Computer Gaming World.

April 29, 2000 - As I promised, the screenshot has been updated. Usually, I would not add this as a news bulletin but SithNerdawar, the AOK player who sent this in, requested that I link to his site, Gaming Palace. It is a nice site devoted to Age Of Kings Deathmatch, especially for players on Heat.net. Please give his site a visit. It is still under construction but it seems to be pretty popular. He asks you to do him a favour and click on the ad banners to let him get Age Of Kings: The Conquerors, when it comes out so that he can expand his site.

Also, a new message board will be coming to this site. I have realized that my current message board takes too long to load. I hope that the forums will become active when this new BBS comes into place.

April 28, 2000 - OK, no more laser wars. Today I have uploaded the Africlan Map Pack. It is not that new, but I just found it on the Internet. I'm also making up a plan to get rid of the banner ad at the bottom of the screen when you use the URL http://www.ticaoe.com. I hope to get a new screenshot by Sunday. Please send your exciting ones in.

April 28, 2000 - Some people are asking me questions about the new URL. Here is a better explanation. If you want to access the splash page, go to http://www.ticaoe.com. If you want to get to this Age Of Empires page, go to http://aoe.ticaoe.com/. If you want to go to the Age Of Kings page, which is hardly ever updated, go to http://aok.ticaoe.com/. Please e-mail me if you have anymore questions. (The e-mail page is now fixed, you can now use it send me mail.)

Old News 21

April 26, 2000 - More Laser Wars? You can now download called Lilako Laser Wars 2. Watch for a map pack release on Friday (another laser wars?). Screenshot updated today, check it out. Also, ICQ 2000a and WinZip 8.0 have just been released. And last but not least, you can now access the site using http://www.ticaoe.com, but there is a banner ad bar on the bottom from the company I got this domain name from. If you don't want to see that banner, just access the site using http://thisiscool.clanworld.org/aoe/.

April 23, 2000 - I've found some more Laser Wars maps. This map-duo is called Lilako Laser Wars, and features a 2-player version.

April 21, 2000 - Happy Easter Everyone! As promised, Laser Wars is back. Click here to download it!

April 18, 2000 - I have found two map packs, the AOD and APO maps. You can download them here. Also I request for anyone who has the following maps to please tell me where to download them. They are: Ayra Sandstorm, Cyclone, Perspolis, Ruins, 1999, Long Road, and Waterworld. Thanks to anyone who responds. Look for a screenshot update tomorrow. Also look for the return of Laser Wars on Friday!

April 15, 2000 - Sorry for the lack of updates. Nothing really happened in the world of trial. I'll post some Rise of Rome bugs next week. Screenshot of the week updated.

April 5, 2000 - Not Age Of Empires related but just for you to know, Netscape 6 Preview 1 was released today. (Is it me, or did they skip Netscape 5?) Some of you may want to download this, but be warned that it is a preview only, and thus it may crash sometimes. You may download it or read a review from CNET.

April 1, 2000 - I've added a new recorded game in the Age Of Kings downloads section. This game features Britons and Chinese vs. 2 random civilizations. Click here to get it.

March 26, 2000 - Great news! The downloads are back up again! It seems that Clanworld lost my site while switching servers. I'm going to be very busy in the next week so there isn't going to be any major updates.

March 21, 2000 - A big update today. First, I reuploaded the first set of Jeka Maps. They can be found on the new downloads page. I will hopefully get Jeka Maps 2 up by tomorrow.

Next, this site now boasts a new URL. It is: http://www.bigfoot.com/~ageofempires/. This URL leads you to this site, but in case of a site crash, you can use this to access the new URL for the page. Please start using this URL to visit this site. It is very easy to remember too.

Next thing on the agenda, the beloved site Age Of Empires: Graphics Headquarters has gone offline because of an unexpected deletion which happened a week ago. This is much like how ClanWorld has deleted my site with all my downloads stored on it.

Last thing (related to Age Of Empires), I got the full version of Rise of Rome (kind of late though) and I will be making a few new deathmatch maps for trial players. Please stayed tuned to this site for progress.

Finally, Blizzard is going through the beta testing process of their new game, Diablo II. It is bound to be a best-seller. You can give their site a visit to win a chance to participate in this beta test. Go to their site for full details.

March 20, 2000 - I have just found out that my downloads aren't working. This probably happened yesterday because for an unknown reason, ClanWorld has deleted my account. Now I will have to reupload the downloads. I will only upload the Jeka Map Packs since they are the most popular. Then I will upload only by requests. Send in your requests later. I will upload the Jeka sets tomorrow. The Age Of Kings downloads still work though.

Old News 20

March 15, 2000 - There a new screenshot posted. This one isn't very exciting, but it tells you the value of relics. Also I recorded the game. But since I didn't put the CD in and instead used the cracked version of AOK, you will need that cracked version to play the game video. Click here to download it.

Old News 19 - Part 2

February 29, 2000 - If you haven't already downloaded Campaign Builder V1.21 (offsite link), I suggest you do so. This version fixes the program not accepting Rise Of Rome files that end in .cpx and .scx.

February 28, 2000 - Updates on three consecutive days? You're not hallucinating. This page is now officially alive again.

I've posted some AOK bugs on the Age Of Kings Page.

February 27, 2000 - I am starting an in-depth coverage of the Civilizations of Age Of Kings. At least one page will be released every week. Please check back often for this coverage.

Also, I'm going to post the two AOK (cheating) bugs very soon.

February 26, 2000 - I finally own Age Of Kings the full version. Just for some of you to know, I have a Pentium 133mhz computer and it runs very well. I am trying to convert some maps but still no luck.

Also I found this utility very useful if you don't want to scratch your CD. Click here to download the No-CD-Required Crack. After downloading, simply replace the empires2.exe file from the download with the one in your AOK full version folder. Then run Setupreg.exe and you're all set!

February 22, 2000 - Small update today. I'm sure ZONE players already have downloaded the v1.0c patch. If you haven't, you can get it here. (Note: This patch doesn't allow some people to play saved games.)

If you are wondering why this patch was released, see Microsoft's download page.

February 19, 2000 - I am working on a program which will allow you to convert AOK scenarios (and maybe campaigns) without a lot of hassle. There is no confirmed release date yet but I will update on the status of this program. Please check back often.

Jaunuary 22, 2000 - The AOK section has updated with Conversion Rules! With credit to me and Andrew A. Frisch. Please note that these procedures will only work when the scenario supports the trial version. When you achieve success with these rules, please send me the playable scenario. Thanks.

Also, since I didn't updated on January 1st, I'd like to say happy new year!
