The Farewell Letter started just like every other rock band in the world: No one in the band was good at sports (with the exclusion of Josh Funk, whose muscular physique was so intimidating that the coaches couldn't in good conscience allow him on the field). Riiight.

Back to the story: The guys all needed a way to express their emotions (read that, "get laid"), so they decided to forma a band. The next obvious step was to decide on a style of music to play. That's when the band's collective creative process lurched into gear, churning out many close competitors -- such as, "Death-Killer-Hardcore-Metal-Sludge-Rock" and "Teeny-Bopper Bubblegum Pop-Rock." The latter would have worked if it weren't for Jay Darden's refusal to get breast implants and perform in a pink thong every night. There is still tension over this issue.

So, after many exhausting minutes of thought, it was decided: "Yeah Rock."

For those of you who don't nkow, "Yeah Rock" is the styled of music that requires the lead singer to wear leather pants and scream "Yeaaah!" for upwards of five minutes in every song. Obviously, it is very popular.

Within a few months, The Farewell Letter had conquered the music industry, setting a record for being the first band ever to have four #1 hits in one week. ("Yeah," "Oh Yeah," Yeah Baby," and "Hell Yeah").

A month later, they all died. Josh overdosed on steriods. La Migra finally caught up to Jay and deported him back to Mexico, where he made the mistake of drinking the water and infected himself with the deadly STD, Syphillagonnaherpalaids. Gray and Scott both died in a plane crash becuase they were both too stupid to recognize that the airline industry has it out for rockstars.

Now, you are probably saying to yourself, "I think I'm being lied to here." Well, you are right. Jay Darden did end up getting breast implants. The rest is completely true.            --DH--
