Alice Bailey's Dark Forces: Jews and Christians

Prolific author, channeler and mystic Alice Bailey, in several of her writings has mentioned "dark forces" which are at work in the world in order to slow down the progress of the inevitable "New Age" or "Age of Aquarius". The "New Age" is a supposed soon coming time when the values, beliefs and ways of thinking will be changed and a unified religion will unite the people of the world. Now these "forces" are most prevalent within certain groups, and Bailey has stated that one of their main goals is to impede the coming of this New Age. The groups which most express the will of these "dark forces", she says, are Jews and Christians. "There are certain areas of evil in the world today through which these forces of darkness can reach humanity. What they are and where they are I do not intend to say. I would point out, however, that Palestine should no longer be called the Holy Land…Judaism is old, obsolete and separative and has no true message for the spiritually-minded which cannot be better given by the newer faiths…the Christian faith also has served its purpose; its Founder seeks to bring a new Gospel and a new message that will enlighten all men everywhere".

"The Forces of Darkness are powerful energies, working to preserve that which is ancient and material". She continues "they work to prevent the understanding of that which is of the New Age; they endeavor to preserve that which is familiar and old, to counteract the effects of the oncoming culture and civilization, to bring blindness to the peoples and to feed steadily the existing fires of hate, of separateness, of criticism and of cruelty".

One intriguing part of all of this, is that Bailey was not writing of her own accord, but from what she called a "spirit guide", a supposed spirit of an "ascended master of the Hierarchy" which entered into her and caused her to write these things. Perhaps the most astounding thing of all, are the groups which she say are the channels of these "dark forces". Jews and Christians become the object of scorn and ridicule by followers of this type of teaching, and in some cases victims of vicious attacks, for if indeed they are impeding the advent of the New Age, then they must be "removed". And the removal of them wouldn’t be considered so much as an evil, for the cause of their removal is a cause so beneficial that it demands their removal. "When a form proves inadequate , or too diseased, or too crippled for the expression of that purpose, it is…no disaster when that form has to go. Death is not a disaster to be feared; the work of the Destroyer is not really cruel or undesirable". Doesn’t this sound like an ideology that could bring about the hatred and disgust of Jews and Christians, and maybe incite a second holocaust?

Could this be one of the reasons why the Apostle John says that he saw "the souls of them that were slain for the word of God" Rev.6:9 ? Could very well be.
