Dirkhising’s Death Swept Under the Rug…Don’t You Get the Picture?
Ulysses L. Griffin
Nov. 15, 1999
Who hasn’t heard of Matthew Shepherd? A Wyoming college student that was brutally beaten and killed by two men. And with good reason. The national news media made sure the story was on top of the list of tragedies. No doubt, it was. It deserved national attention, for what was perpetrated was sheer brutality. Totally uncalled for, totally evil, and totally unchristian. There was absolutely no reason for Shepherd to be treated in such a fashion; and to have it done should have been reported to the country so that it can be seen for the evil that it is.
However, there was a young man 13 years old, that lived in Arkansas that was repeatedly raped, abused, and tortured to death by two men. His name is Jesse Dirkhising. His death has been virtually ignored by the national news media. Dirkhising’s death was just as, if not more tragic than Shepherd’s; why is there no uproar on the part of the media on his death?
The answer lies in this: the national media’s acceptance of and furtherance of the homosexual agenda.
Here’s the deal. Shepherd’s incident was murder of a homosexual. Dirkhising’s incident was murder by homosexuals. Shepherd’s incident can be made known for it will not hurt, but help the image of homosexuals in the eyes of the average american; for the homosexual in this case is the victim. Dirkhising’s incident should not be made known as widely as Shepherd’s for it will hurt the image of homosexuals; the homosexuals are the perpetrators of the victim in this case, and much dissemination of this would go against the gay/lesbian agenda.
And what is the gay/lesbian agenda? Simply stated, to bring America to the point where their behavior is accepted and approved of in all areas of life. In the November 1997 issue of Guide Magazine, homosexuals Marshall Kirk and Erastes Pill wrote an article entitled "The Overhauling of Straight America" and described how gays must be presented in the media in order for their agenda to become a success. Kirk and Pill state "gays must be cast as victims in need of protection so that straights will be inclined by reflex to assume the role of protector". They continue "the campaign should paint gays as superior pillars of society", and add that they must "replace the mainstream’s self-righteous pride about its homophobia with shame and guilt".
This is why in the first three weeks of Shepherd’s death there were over 1,000 articles which covered it. But, within the three months since Dirkhising’s death there have been only 44 articles which have covered it. And most of these were only local. A search of all national news internet sites will give nothing. With the national news media covering Dirkhising’s death, just as Shepherd’s was covered, the "overhauling of straight America" cannot take place.
And when one admits that the news media is biased, he's immediately branded as a conspiracy-nut. Don't you get the picture?
