Jack Kevorkian, avid reader of Alice Bailey
Ulysses L. Griffin,
June 1999
It has been said that one's view of what happens after death, determines how one lives their life. This is apparently so in the life of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, the notorious practitioner of physician-assisted suicide. Kevorkian, who admits to having assisted dozens of suicides, has been found guilty in his last case and will serve a minimum of seven years in prison. During a previous trial however, he was seen tossing a plastic bag in a dumpster which contained books written by Alice Bailey that had his handwritten notes althrough them. Alice Bailey was a leader of the "Theosophical Society" and author of numerous books. These books were essentially propagating a westernized form of eastern religous ideology and most importantly contained a strong element of reincarnation. Constance Cumbey, prosecuting attorney in the case has recently went on record admitting this. "I have his hand annotated Alice Bailey which he pitched two days after we came on the case", Cumbey says.
Cumbey, author of "Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow", appeared on the radio talk show "Point of Veiw" to discuss the New Age Movement and how its ideology is becoming increasingly prevalent in our society. Over the course of this interveiw she revealed this startling yet congruent information about Kevorkian. "Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow" was the first book to really set forth the ramifications of the modern New Age Movement, and revealed what America's church needs to be prepared for in light of this ideology.
Cumbey adds, "It's not illegal to own Alice Bailey so there's some interesting questions as to why he tossed it. And I have some theories, but at any rate he certainly was drawing his inspiration directly from theosophical sources". This would explain why Kevorkian is so adamant for physician-assistant suicide, for his veiw of death comes right out of Bailey's writings.
