THIS WORD
A New Christ For A New Age?
By Ulysses L. Griffin
Jan.1999
"In Palestine for the Piscean era He needed to demonstrate His divinity and
power...for Aquarian men and women He will demonstrate His perfected humanity", says
author Mary Bailey in the June 1998 issue of "The Beacon", the bi-monthly
magazine of the Lucis Publishing Co.. "If we look for the Christ as He was two
thousand years ago, we will fail to recognize Him when He reappears to continue His work
in the Aquarian age", she continues.
Bailey is not uncommon today as there are thousands of people who believe that the Jesus
Christ of the Bible was only one Christ for His age; and that there were other Christs for
past ages, and will be other Christs for future ages. However, we as christians should
know that this is deception, for the Bible teaches that there is only "one Lord Jesus
Christ".ICor.8:6 Further, the Bible teaches that there are not different Christs for
different ages, but that "there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the
man Christ Jesus".ITim. 2:5
Bailey states further,"He is coming to establish the principles and values, including
the techniques on which life must be based during the Aquarian age".
The deception by this teaching should be clear, for Psalms 100:5 declares "His truth
endures to all generations". The principles and values for life have already been
given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ when He came the first time. And those that He gave
endures to all generations; no new principles and values need to be given.
Bailey confirms,"He will no longer be confined to a small area of the planet, or to
the teaching function which seemed to be His main avenue of service in Palestine, He will
be seen and heard worldwide over radio and television evoking recognition and response
from perceptive minds and hearts".
Although Bailey believes in what she says, the fact of the matter is, is that she is
terribly deceived. There is no new Christ for a new Age, there is only one Christ, who has
come to give His life for our salvation, and His blood for the washing away of our sin.
In fact, when you add all of her characteristics together:him being different from the
Christ of the Bible, him establishing new principles and values for living, and him being
seen and heard giving out his message all over the world by way of television and radio,
the actual face of this "Christ" gets very familiar.
Could she not be referring to the Antichrist?
When one examines the New Testament Scriptures about the Antichrist and look at Bailey's
characteristics of this "Aquarian Christ", the only logical conclusion is,
certainly.
