“I went to town to buy a newspaper and bought this suit in a charity shop instead. It cost only four pounds. It’s a bit too big for me, and because it is a pin-striped suit, it kind of reminds me that I’m working.”

·        The easiest song he’s written was 'Killer Cars'. He took 10 minutes to finish it with lyrics. 'Nothing to Fear' was written for 15 minutes. Both songs were written 1^st thing in the morning—3 cups of coffee, no breakfast.

·        MPIE was Thom’s idea and thought it would be a perfect Christmas gift for the fans.

“Yes it was very much my idea. I don’t know whether it was wise in retrospect. Initially it was just gonna be Barcelona where we launched the album. Then I thought it would be interesting to have a record of this bullshit. So that any body wishing to repeat the process at a later date would think twice.”

·        Would like to do a cheese commercial for Cathedral City where he will be dressed in furry mouse outfit squeaking in a high voice, “it’s a cathedral city” though he thinks that it will fuck things up a bit.

·        Has always maintain the a resolutely anti-rock star attitude and doesn’t follow the ‘sex, drug and rock n roll’ lifestyle.
