Evita

Most of my Argentine friends are rather embarrassed by the Perons as historical figures and find foreigner's fascination with her as both odd and inscrutable. Still, Evita remains a powerful symbol for the unions that represent the working classes. Her image is often evoked in street posters protesting some policy or political move.

Picture taken in August of 1999 with my Pentax K1000.
