Other pictures of Thomas Hastings and his friends
I am constrained here only by a limited supply of digitized photographs, and of course by my own natural sense of humility.
For reasons known only to John Templeton, and perhaps the Robertsons (who are dead), I was paid real cash money to get a Master's Degree in Public Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School, part of Princeton University in New Jersey. Here's me and my family the day I graduated. (The cap and gown I had to pay for.)
These were my second-year housemates: myself, Nisweenie Salti, Kellie Ortega, Jane-Frances Kelly, and "I love the delicate smell of" William Rex. Two of these five people are now holding down responsible jobs, drinking less than they used to, and feeling very lucky that I don't own a scanner.
Here's Darci Vetter and Jane-Frances at my wedding. Darci grew up on an organic farm in rural Nebraska.
Though I generally have a beard, I sometimes shave it off. When I do, I look like this...
...or this. (This picture was taken at the Kancamagus Pass through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I took a trip there with my Mom in June 1999.)
I drove across the country in July 1999, and saw this sign in Oklahoma.
And this one in New Mexico, where they take disaster planning seriously.
