Communism has a command economy. Therefore, we have a command economy. To discriminate is to make a decision for yourself which defies the command economy. Thus the motives for “anti-discrimination” laws are exposed !!

A Safe Guard for Freedom
-Cpt. Willard

Gun control is one of those controversial topics that just will not seem to go away. It’s all over the news papers, magazines, and television broadcasts. Hypocritical philanthropists like Rosie O’Donnell give tear jerking monologues opposing guns. Rednecks across the country, sporting rebel flags and NRA cards, cry out for their rifles and the right to hunt. However it’s not all this hype that worries me.
As I recently viewed a story in the wall street journal about the lawsuit involving Smith & Wesson (the nations leading gun manufacturer), a crime of Constitutional proportions unfolded before my eyes: one that needs to be dealt with on a simple factual level that any American sheep can comprehend.
The fact that needs to be considered first and foremost in this ongoing battle is the second amendment. We all know it guarantees our right to keep and bear arms, that is not where the debate lies. The debate lies in its reason for existence. Left wingers like Hillary Clinton and Rosie O’Donnell will tell you, to quote O’Donnell, “I think we have the second amendment so pilgrims in the seventeenth century could have muskets, not so we can have assault weapons in the 90's.” this statement is well organized and fairly well stated, and can certainly draw support from anyone who doesn’t think too hard. However it’s loaded with enough excrement to manure Candlestick Park. Many so-called “pro gun” activists will reply that we need the second amendment to hunt and kill game, and, in extreme cases for self-defense.
This statement is full of falsities. The reason we have the second amendment is to protect our selves from a despotic
government. Our founding fathers put it there because they knew a government would never try to take over an armed population. Misinterpretation of this amendment is the first perversion of our constitution.
The article I read in the Wall Street Journal recapped the recent lawsuit against Smith & Wesson. In a nauseating settlement the titans of gun making agreed to make guns safer by providing trigger locks. This seems like a good compromise. *****Word of advise, beware whenever you hear the word compromise***** However, it sickens me in two ways, one less obvious than the other.
The first way it sickens me is it is letting the government tighten its grip on our freedom. This is just another foothold and they aren’t going to stop there. Big Brother will keep on trucking until they come to take away our guns themselves.
The second reason is it is a clear violation of the separation of powers, a philosophy articulated by Montesqieu and embraced by our founding fathers. By honoring this settlement, what the court is doing is making a new regulation for this business to abide by. The fact that it is a regulation means it is a law. The court is the judicial system. This means they have made a law, something the legislative branch is supposed to do. In fact, this is something our court system has been doing for years. And, in this case, it was a law that went straight to the heart of our right to keep and bare arms.
The other day, I was talking to a kid from France. He was an anti-socialist and very intelligent. At one point he made the comment that America is a lot freer than France. On that point, I would have to agree. The reason is we have one major freedom that A LOT of countries don’t: our right to own guns. This is something that is central to the practice of liberty. But if we keep letting these frivolous lawsuits go on, and if we keep compromising our freedom, our despotic rulers will strangle us, like a rabbit caught by a boa constrictor. The more we keep breathing in, the tighter the strangle hold becomes, until the breath of freedom has finally ceased.
