Now Playing at the Casablanca

Even the best music groups are not popular forever. Some fade away gracefully, quietly dying with a "best of" album then forgotten in the dust. But others, others are "Now playing at the Casablanca." If you don't already know what I'm getting at, you soon will.
Playing at the Casablanca is the end of the road for a musician, (If he can still be called that). No longer can they gather huge crowds distilling their brains on LSD at a dead head concert. They are now playing in empty bars and showrooms on $5.00 ticket sales. As they end a fine tune, they load into the VW van and land in another town, another dead casino.       Tell me you haven't heard these cries from the radio in recent months and years. "Remember 'Sugar Days' by the Steve Miller Band?, well we have the drummer and he's got all your favorite hits...now playing at the Casablanca." It's over, no more self respect.
Here are some future visitors at the Casablanca.
