This was certainly not in Washington D.C.; it was somewhere even further away than Williamsburg, where we stayed for a few nights! "Somewhere in Virginia" (I don't remember the name) is the location of Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. Interestingly, his house had a huge underground level to it.
