Cyclops

The first X-Man, Scott Summers can fire powerful concussive energy blasts from his eyes, but he can only control them through the use of a ruby-quartz visor. Although he has served as the X-Men's field leader for many years, he recently chose to convert Xavier's back into a school and now serves as the headmaster.



Phoenix

One of the original X-Men, Jean Grey-Summers has known Professor Xavier since she was a child. She possesses powerful telepathic and telekinetic abilities. After it was recently revealed that she was pregnant, however, she has been removed from the active roster and now serves as a teacher.



Beast

A member of the original X-Men, Dr. Hank McCoy possesses superhuman strength and agility as well as a layer of blue fur covering his body. His animal-like appearence conceals the mind of a brilliant scientist, however. He now serves as an instructor at Xavier's.



Iceman

One of the original X-Men, Bobby Drake possesses the mutant ability to control sub-zero temperatures. After his body was possessed by the White Queen, Iceman discovered new ways to utilize his full potential - which he recently proved by coming back from the dead.



Cecilia Reyes

Dr. Cecilia Reyes was living out her dream as a surgeon before she was attacked by Prime Sentinels, revealing her as a mutant. Now with her medical practice finished, she has reluctantly joined the X-Men in order to better learn how to control her mutant ability to emit a protoplasmic forcefield around her body.



Maggott

Possibly the most mysterious of the new X-Men, the African-born Japeth came to the X-Men through a twist of fate. Armed with two slug-like maggots which comprise his digestive tract, he also possesses enhanced strength and his maggots - Eany and Meany - can eat through virtually any substance.



Scanner

Once a member of the Acolytes, the young woman known only as Scanner realized that Magneto's path was not the one she wanted to follow. Now, she uses her bio-electric mutant powers as a member of the X-Men in order to make up for past sins.



Neophyte

A former Acolyte, the German-born Neophyte first encountered the X-Men after he discovered that Fabian Cortez murdered Magneto. He aided the X-Men in battle against Cortez and the Acolytes, and was later forced by Exodus to leave. He has joined the X-Men in hopes of learning more about his mutant phasing abilities.



Amelia Voght

A former lover of Charles Xavier, Amelia Voght has the mutant ability to teleport herself, other people, or objects from one place to another. Although she served the Acolytes for a long time, she recently left them and joined the X-Men.
