Hunting has been a major past time for me over the past few years. I went several years with out a deer, but in October of 1994 that all ended. One foggy morning i saw a deer off in the distance trotting through the fog. I can remember thinking that it looked like ghost off in the distance. I grabbed my grunt call and gave it a try. Instantly the deer turned around and started running at me. When it was fifteen yards away, we played a little cat and mouse game. Basically this guy was looking for the intruder to "his" territory. Eventually he walked within 8 yards of me, and an arrow was placed through both lungs.

The following season was a hard one for me but i ended up taking a small doe with a bow in November.

In the fall of 1996 i managed to get two deer. A 5 point in October with a bow and a small doe with a shotgun in november.

The fall of 1997 continued my pattern of buck every other year. I missed a lot of deer that season, but ended up with 3 does. Including my biggest doe to-date.

In the fall of 1998 my time in the woods was limited due to college, but i began the season with a doe and a spike opening weekend.

I shot this doe(im guessing shes 2 years old) oct 16, 1999 with a bow. Now it looks like I have more time to study. But i will still be in pursuit of a bigger one.
