Ellen has been with me since October 12, 1996. Just recently we graduated college together. The picture that was in the paper is in the second row, but it didn't scan really well. So I put the actual color photo next to the article.
Ellen is one of the most fun people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. A sick sense of humor like mine, adventurous, ambitious and of course, beautiful. We have been through a lot of stuff together and have stuck by one another through all of it.
When we met, I had just gone through a rough ending to a 2 year relationship with my high school sweetheart. I had just started at community college and most of my friends had moved away or were in the process. There were still some people left however, and through my friend Jodi, we were introduced. She was still a senior in high school then.
Five years ago, I would never have thought our relationship would have turned into what it is today. We are very different people now compared to when we first met. We learned a lot from one another.
This fall we changed our relationship because we both thought she was moving to California. To make it easy on ourselves, we backed up a few steps. As it turns out, she isn't moving that far away (Boston), but we still kept things the way they are anyways. Most likely the next time we commit to each other things will be more stable in our careers and our plans for one another. When that day comes, rest assured, a ring will be involved. It is complicated to understand, so don't think about it too much or you'll pass out. Just look at the pictures and think happy thoughts... Hahahah.
