Tips for Autograph Collectors Always be polite. Ask nicely for the celebrity's autograph. Try to include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Or, what I've found works very well is to include at least 55 cents in postage and your address label. Try to keep your letter short. I'd say a half page is good, no more than a page.
