In a freak accident, Both Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom were critically injured while filming the new Pirates of the Carribean movie, our sources say.

Director Gore Verbinski, under pressure from Disney and not wanting to miss the set deadline has recast the roles of Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner. The Bad Boys of Magic, Penn and Teller (who currently can be seen on Showtime's "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!") will be playing the lead roles for the rest of the movie.

"With modern technology and CGI graphics, we can honestly use whatever actor we want in a movie nowadays, and digitally alter it accordingly. Hell, we've done it before." says a Disney representative who wished to remain nameless.

He goes on to say, "While the loss of Depp and Bloom was certainly a setback, we feel this movie can proceed without the audience even noticing the change in actors from the beginning to the end of the movie, especially once the voiceovers are completed."

The same representative also mentioned that due to recent demographic surveys about the appeal of the lead characters from the Pirate movies, they've also made some changes to the script at the suggestion of a local San Franciscan consultant. He also supplied us with this exclusive publicity photo, not yet released to the general public.

Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest is scheduled to be released in the Summer of 2006.
