REJECTED STRAYS
by Fritz Springmeier

On the farm we would talk about the foolishness of shutting the gate after the cow had already escaped.

In America, the strays are rejected and stripped of their identities.  Imagine rejecting your cow because she strayed from her pasture.  “She’s no longer a cow, she’s a stray.  Better shackle her in a holding pen.”

I’m really not talking about cows; I’m talking about how we’ve removed moral barriers and moral guidelines from our schools.  Bibles are forbidden in our public schools, but our prisons are full of Bibles.  Great, after a young man is stripped of his rights because he is a felon, now he has access to Bibles and prison ministries at government expense.

Aren’t we a great society, putting up the moral gates after the person has strayed?  It’s a disaster plan cooked up in the depths of hell.

Both God’s Law and modern American Law enforcement deem a single act of disobedience to the Law as a blow against the whole law and an insult to the Lawgiver.  Hence, if you break one law, you lose your relationship to the Lawgiver.  “He that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”  LK 16:10

While our government is now acting like they are God’s in their punishment of anyone who strays by stripping them of their relationship to the Law-giver (voting rights, passports, gun rights, etc.), they are seriously lacking many of the positive qualities God brings to His subjects such as mercy, forgiveness, the Holy Spirit to guide our consciences, the example of Christ to encourage us and many other helps to get us through the temptations and trials of life.

Our heavenly Father has wisely through His Word and prophets warned His kingdom subjects that we are free to do what is right, Our liberty in Christ is not to sin, but to bring honor to Him.

“Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.  These are the things which defile a man.”  MT 15:19

“The carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can be.”  ROM 8:7

When it comes to lawlessness, there are no greater lawbreakers than America’s leaders who promote carnal mindedness and outlaw moral barriers such as the Word of God in America’s schools.  And then when the carnal minded youth stray from their laws, then they provide Bibles once the strays are in prison?  We indeed wrestle “against spiritual wickedness in high places.”  EPH 6:12

Isn’t it time we begin providing our children with moral barriers (i.e. God’s Law, the Holy Spirit to guide, inspire, counsel, along with the purpose and hope of Christ in their lives)??

I have joined the rejected strays.  Like a cow that is now no longer a cow, I languish in an American prison.  But I am not a stray.  In fact, my worst offense, for which they want 15 years of my life, is that they claim I knew someone else was going to use a gun in a bank robbery. Talk about alleged carnal knowledge.  That carnal knowledge is valued at 15 years of my life.  In other words, I am the cow that looked over the fence and lost her identity as a cow.

It’s time America identified sin, gave our young people in school the knowledge not to stray into sin’s traps, and quit persecuting people like myself who stand up for God.  This nation began with “freedom of religion”, not freedom from religion.
