Short Explination

Originally inspired by just watching the scenery go by in the car. Ended up being an anti-people poem. Not my intention, but eh.

I never looked at trees.
I mean really looked at trees.
Their bowed branches
holding delicate leaves
that sway at the slightest chance
of a breeze.
But now I look,
And I am calmed.

I never looked at the ocean.
I mean really looked at the ocean.
How the waves gently lap upon the shore
and gently tickle my toes.
The watery home
of the dolphins.
But now I look,
And I am calmed.

I never looked a humans.
I mean really looked at humans.
Frantically running
To get from here to there.
Living chaotic lives
of work.
But now I look,
And it’s unnerving.
